Maya

Maya is less than a year old. She was born with a condition called ectopic ureter which involves the connection between the kidney and bladder, a condition that is usually caused by poor breeding practices. As a result Maya was incontinent and constantly dribbling.

Maya’s family was unable to afford the surgery necessary to correct this condition. They turned her over to our partners at Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies who arranged for the surgery to be performed at Colorado State University Medical Hospital.

The Tess McIntyre Foundation made a contribution to help pay for Maya’s surgery, which we are pleased to report, was a success. She is now healthy and with normal bladder function.
