Finley

Flossy

When our partners at Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies (GRRR) heard about Finley, he had stopped eating and was lethargic. A visit to the vet determined that Finley had an intestinal blockage and that immediate surgery was necessary to save this two-year old Golden Retriever and to avoid permanent damage.

Finley’s owner was unable to pay for the surgery. GRRR committed to paying for Finley’s operation. That procedure found that Finley had been eating some stuff he shouldn’t have. Like a towel, some plastic wrappers and some tin foil. Finley ended up in veterinary ICU, but he regained his strength and recovered.

A GRRR volunteer brought him from Grand Junction to the rescue in Arvada, Colo. He apparently charmed the folks at the veterinary hospital where he was taken for further observation. One of the vet techs there fostered him, and then one of the veterinarians adopted him.

We are making a contribution to GRRR to help offset the expense of Finley's surgery and his follow up care. The Tess McIntyre Foundation is a 501(3)c charity. Contributions to the foundation will help us to help more dogs like Finley.
