In memory of Bill McIntyre

(1946-2019)

and his beloved dog Tess.

Dana

When our partners at Home for Good Dog Rescue found Dana she was emaciated, dehydrated and missing a lot of her hair. Rescued from Orangeburg, S.C., County Animal Control, where she was dropped off after being found on the side of the road, Dana was 10 weeks old and weighed only four pounds.

The veterinarians who later examined her believe she was either hit by a car or thrown from a vehicle. She exhibited an unsteady gait and was found to have multiple fractures of her pelvis hip socket and femur.

Home for Good is caring for Dana and we are sponsoring her to pay for her treatment. This includes all of the examinations, antibiotics and medical shampoos, as well as spay, vaccinations and microchip.

Dana is already recovering. The fractures are healing and it was deemed that she doesn’t need surgery at this time.

The Tess McIntyre Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity and works with rescue agency partners to support their work with abused, abandoned and injured dogs. Donations to the foundation will help us help more dogs like Dana.
