Peanut Butter came to our partners Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue (SCGRR) from the San Diego Humane Society. We don’t know much about what happened to Peanut Butter but we know that when she arrived at SCGRR she was in bad shape. She suffered from a large tumor on her leg, infections in both ears and badly neglected teeth.
After treating her ears, teeth and matted coat, the tumor on her leg was tested and diagnosed as spindle cell carcinoma. Peanut Butter had surgery that removed as much of the tumor as possible. Because of the risk of recurrence, she will require monthly blood tests, medication and exams. The Tess McIntyre Foundation is providing funding to cover the costs of Peanut Butter’s care for the next six months.
She is currently in a permanent foster and is enjoying what our partners at SCGRR term a happy and pampered life.
