Martin is from Swainsboro, Ga. He’s seven years old and has spent his entire life outside. Our partners at Home for Good Dog Rescue got him from the Swainsboro Animal Shelter where he could have ended up on the euthanasia list because of his age and his condition. At the time of rescue, Martin was heartworm positive, he suffered from flea dermatitis and his front teeth were ground down, likely from trying to free himself from chains or fencing. X-rays revealed he had been shot with pellets.
The Tess McIntyre Foundation will be paying for Martin’s care, including heartworm treatment, antibiotics and dental surgery. We’ll also cover vaccines, neutering and a microchip. Martin is now convalescing in one of Home for Good’s foster homes.
The Tess McIntyre Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity that works with our rescue agency partners to provide funding for the care of abused, abandoned and injured dogs. Contributions to the foundation will help us help more dogs like Martin.
