This poor girl had been living chained up and overbred until her owners moved away and abandoned her and two other dogs. A neighbor brought her to the local shelter in Millen, Ga., where she was then rescued by our partners at Home for Good Dog Rescue (HFG).

When they found her, Lisa had such severe mange that she had no hair left. She was emaciated, had no front teeth and was heartworm positive. No one could really tell her breed or age.

Lisa is now at the HFG care facility in Aiken, S.C. We will be providing the funding for her mange and heartworm treatment and to have her spayed. Together we’re making sure she gets a second chance in life.

Tess McIntyre Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity that raises funds to support rescue dogs that need medical care in order to restore their health and prepare them for adoption. Donations to the foundation will help us help more dogs like Lisa.
