Bernice was only four months old when a breeder turned her over to our partners Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies. She suffered from a condition called ectopic ureter which left her unable to control the leakage of urine.
GRRR brought her to the Colorado State University veterinary hospital where she underwent surgery to correct the condition. She was then adopted by a loving family that was willing to help her through her recovery and house train her.
Now one year old, Bernice again began to show some leakage of urine despite being house trained. Her condition affected another ureter and she went back to CSU for a second surgery. Bernice is now back home with her family.
We are sponsoring Bernice and have made a contribution to help offset the cost of Bernice’s surgery.
