In memory of Bill McIntyre

and his beloved dog Tess.

This little puppy was left on the front porch of a Georgia rescue in the middle of the night. She was howling and crying. We don’t know who dumped her but suspect it was a breeder who didn’t want to deal with the cherry eye condition she suffers from in each eye.

Athena is a six-month old Cano Corso mix. She was sent north to our partners at Eleventh Hour Rescue in Morris County, N.J. Along the way she caught pneumonia, requiring treatment that delayed her eye surgery.

The Tess McIntyre Foundation is sponsoring Athena and making a donation to help offset the cost of her pneumonia treatment, cherry eye surgery, and spay. We’re confident that under the care of our partners at Eleventh Hour, Athena will soon be fully healthy and ready to find her forever home.
