This poor girl was found on the side of the road in Wagener, S.C., eating roadkill. She had been dumped out of a car by her owners.
Tess has been rescued by our partners Home for Good Dog Rescue. When they found her she was limping, had hookworms and severe diarrhea. After a thorough examination, it was determined that she does not need surgery and was not pregnant, as originally feared.
Our foundation is named after a Golden Retriever named Tess and we are glad to be able to cover this dog’s medical expenses. They include heartworm test, spay, vaccinations, radiographs and a microchip.
Tess is recovering at Home for Good’s facility in Aiken, S.C. We look forward to the day she heads up north to find her forever home.
